Use
In this IMG activity, you group services by defining generic service types. You can then specify a generic service type when you maintain material or service master records, or enter transaction data.

Activities
Define as many generic service types as required. You can enter up to five different descriptions for each generic service type, which can later be selected when specifying the generic service type when you create a material or enter a free-text purchase order item.
Note that the system stores generic service types in the same table as NCM codes. So, to differentiate the two types of values, we recommend that you always use a special prefix for generic service types, such as ISS_*.
Once you define generic service types, you can assign them to official service types, materials, or services as required.
Example
Assume you maintain a material for the service window cleaning; in município A, it has the official service type ABC while in município B it is XYZ. You maintain another material for the service cleaning of floors; in município A, it has the official service type EFG while in município B it is XYZ.
Since município B has a less detailed classification of services, you can group together in a single generic service type its services with the same official service type. You create a generic service type for cleaning, ISS_CLEANING.
