In this step, you define the possible types of carrier. This allows you to classify carriers.

You should record a short text for the carrier type for use in the possible entries function (F4) together with a long text under one key. The key for the carrier type can then be specified when carrier master data is maintained.

Activities

  1. Check which features are relevant for classifying carriers.
  2. To create carrier types, please proceed as follows:
    1. Specify a 1-character alphanumeric key for each carrier type.
    2. Enter the short text for the possible entries function (F4).
    3. Enter the long text. This text is displayed as a description of the key during maintenance of carrier master data once the key is saved in the carrier's master record.
