In this step, you define the grouping types for carriers. These are characteristics used to group the carriers for evaluation purposes.

Each characteristic is recorded under a key. You specify this key when maintaining master data on carriers.

Example

You can assign temporary carriers to a separate grouping type so that they are distinguished from normal carriers in evaluations.

Activities

  1. Check which grouping types are relevant for evaluations of data on carriers.
  2. To create the required carrier grouping types, please proceed as follows:
    1. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 2 characters for each grouping type.
    2. Enter the appropriate text.
      3. This text is used when displaying possible entries (F4) and is displayed as a description of the key once the key has been saved in the master record for the carrier.
