In this step, you define the search sequences for bundling rules.

You can make the use of bundling rules dependent on the following search criteria:

  • Customer
  • Carrier route
  • Edition
  • Issue variant type
  • Mix type
  • Edition bundling group
  • Delivery type

There are no priorities among these individual criteria, and you can combine them as you wish. A search sequence is a combination of criteria.

When bundling takes place, the system first performs a search for bundling rules according to the first search sequence. If it does not find these rules, the second search sequence is used, and so on.

Example

The system searches for a bundling rule for the delivery type according to the first search sequence. The first search sequence has the highest priority. If it does not find a suitable bundling rule, the system then takes the second search sequence into account and performs a search for a bundling rule for the edition and the issue variant type.

Activities

  1. Determine which search sequences are to be used for bundling and define the order in which they are to be used.
  2. Create the required search sequences in the order required.
    1. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 3 characters for each search sequence.
    2. Mark the search criteria for the bundling rule in each entry.
