In this step, you define which customer function modules are to be used for bundling instead of the standard function modules.
To define your own function modules, you must specify the following:
- Type of function module
The function module is either used for packing of postal packs or of containers.
- Bundling type
By specifying the bundling type, you define the structure of the interface for the function module. The interface of the customer module must match the interface of the corresponding standard function module.
Important: When creating your own function module, you should use the interface of the standard function module for the same bundle type.
- Plant, delivery type, publication, network and edition
Specify the above to define the area of bundling in which your function module is to be used instead of the standard function module.
Recommendation
Since the standard function modules cover all options for bundling that are supported at present, you should only use your own function modules in exceptional circumstances.
Activities
To enter your own function module, please proceed as follows:
- Specify the customer-specific function module.
- Specify the type of function module.
- Specify the bundling type (see above).
- Specify the plant from which shipping takes place.
- Specify the delivery type for which the function module applies.
- Specify the postal shipping network.
- Specify the publication for which the function module applies.
- Specify the edition of the publication for which the function module applies.
