In this step, you define the search sequences for the shipping document destinations.
You can make shipping document destination definition dependent on the following search criteria:
- Printing works
- Shipping document type
- Truck route
- Edition
- Mix type
The individual search criteria are not assigned priorities and can be combined as you wish. A search sequence is a combination of criteria.
In shipping document destination definition, the system first performs a search for destinations according to the first search sequence. If it does not find them, it uses the second search sequence etc.
Example
The system uses the first search sequence to perform a destination using the fields 'Truck route', 'Edition' and 'Mix type'. This first search sequence has the highest priority. If there is no destination that matches the criteria, the system moves on to the next search sequence and searches for the destination using the fields 'Truck route' and 'Edition'.
Activities
- Find out which search sequences are to be used for the shipping document destination and define the order in which they are to be used.
- Create the required search sequences in the desired order.
- Specify a 1-character alphanumeric key for each search sequence.
- Mark the desired search criteria for destination definition for each search sequence.
