In this step, you define the possible shipping groups. You can use the shipping group to automatically determine the shipping date for executing the shipping functions for a particular shipping day.
Note
The shipping procedure on the shipping day includes the following functions:
- Set closing date
- Perform netchange function
- Modify issue mixes
- Bundling
- Shipping document creation
Procedure
If you specify the shipping group when defining the closing date for accepting orders, the system assigns the shipping date to the shipping group, according to the next publication date. All further shipping functions for which you specify this shipping group, such as modifying issue mixes, bundling or shipping document creation, access the shipping date determined automatically.
Activities
To create a shipping group, please proceed as follows:
- Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 4 characters.
- Enter the appropriate text.
