In this step, you define the number intervals for the number ranges for deliveries and netchange changes.

Every delivery or netchange change is created under a unique key. You can only define internal number range intervals for assigning these keys.

When you create a delivery or netchange change, the system automatically assigns it a sequence number from the internal number range.

Transport

You transport number range objects as follows:

Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.

All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.

Dependent tables are not transported or converted.

Standard settings

The standard system contains the following internal number intervals:
Deliveries: "000000000001 to 999999999999"
Netchange changes: "0000000001 to 9999999999".

Recommendation

You are advised not to change the standard setting.

Activities

To define a number range, you must specify a number interval (or several number intervals). To do this, please proceed as follows:

  1. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 2 characters for each number interval.
  2. Specify the limits of the number interval in the From number and To number fields.
The individual number intervals should not overlap. A number can only be used once in each number range.

Note

You can define the usage of the number range intervals in the step Define number range usage in the section Basic Settings for the Media Industry in the IS-M Implementation Guide.

When carrying out that step, create the internal number range for the object ISP_LFNGNR (deliveries) and ISP_NCAEND (netchange changes).
