In this step, you define the possible sales agent types. The sales agent type is a characteristic by which sales agents are grouped for evaluations of sales agent data.

Each characteristic is recorded under a key. You then specify this key when maintaining the master data on the sales agent (commission recipient) in question.

Example

You can create a special sales agent type for sales agents in a second or sideline job so as to distinguish them from those working as sales agents as their main job for evaluation purposes.

Activities

  1. Check which sales agent types are relevant for your company.
  2. To create the required sales agent types, please proceed as follows:
    1. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 2 characters for each sales agent type.
    2. Enter the appropriate text.
      3. This text is used for the possible entries utility (F4) and is displayed as a description of the key when it is saved in the sales agent's master record.
