In this step, you define the price dependencies.

You can make prices, bonuses and deductions dependent on almost all the fields in the sales document. These dependencies can be defined using the condition tables.

In these tables, you define the combination of fields for which you can create condition records.

Recommendation

You are advised not to change the condition tables in the standard system.

Activities

  1. Check how many of the entries in the standard condition tables you can use as they are.
  2. Before you create a new condition table, you should check if the fields in the existing field catalog meet your requirements. If you want to use a field in pricing that is not specified for this purpose in the standard system, you must include it in the field catalog. You can only add fields to the field catalog that are in tables KOMG, KOMK or KOMP.
  3. To create new condition tables, please proceed as follows:
    • Specify a similar condition table as a copy template.
    • Specify the key of the table you want to create.
    • Please note that you can only choose keys between 501 and 999. If you do not specify a key, the system assigns a sequence number automatically.
    • Specify whether or not you want to create the table with a validity period.
    • Specify a name for the condition table.
    • Choose the desired fields for the condition table from the list of allowed fields that are in the field catalog.
    • Generate the new condition table.

      Note

    • If you want to make pricing dependent on the ship-to party, for example, you can only choose the field 'Customer' for the condition table. It is not possible to specify the ship-to party in the condition table. Since, however, the order document recognizes the special function 'ship-to party' (from the customer master record), you can assign the source field 'Ship-to party' to the 'Customer' field when defining the access.
  4. Specify the condition tables in the access sequences (see the step Define access sequences for condition types).

This creates the link between the condition type, access sequence and condition record.

Note

To find out how to add fields to tables KOMK, KOMG and KOMP, see the section in the Sales and Distribution IMG on System Modification.
