In this step, you define the copying control for document flow in Media Sales and Distribution. You reproduce complete business transactions in the system by defining the sequence of documents in order processing and billing.

For each sales document type, you specify the document type to which the reference documents copied are to belong and which item types and schedule line types can be copied. The control applies to:

  • Sales documents
  • Billing documents

You must specify exclusion criteria, split criteria and the pricing type on the details screen for each copying procedure at header and item level.

Activities

  1. Check the document flow in the standard delivery.
  2. Decide the extent to which you need to change the standard settings in order to define a document flow that meets your requirements.
  3. Define the document flow for sales documents.
  4. Define the document flow for billing documents.

Note: If you set up a new document flow, you must make a header entry for it (specify reference without item type and schedule line type).
