In this step, you modify the input and output characteristics of screen fields for each program and screen.
You can modify each screen field for specific user groups ('User group' column). The following types of assignment are possible:
Modification applies to Entry
a certain user group Name of user group
all users *
users who do not belong to groups Blank
Exception: The modification has no effect on fields defined in the standard system as required fields. Any modifications made to a required field will be ignored when the program in question is run.
Recommendation
Please do not modify screen fields without giving this careful thought. If necessary, consult your SAP consultant to determine the effects of screen modifications.
Activities
- Enter the program name, screen number and the name of the screen field in question.
- Define the user group assignment as described above.
- Choose the desired modification indicator.
