In this step, you define audit report hierarchies based on hierarchy types and hierarchy type versions.

  • Hierarchy type

You record a text (the semantic meaning of the hierarchy) under the key of a hierarchy type.

Recommendation: If you need a hierarchy for IVW or WEMF for your own company, create the appropriate hierarchy type in this step. You are not advised to change the hierarchy provided in the standard system ('0001').

    Example of customer hierarchies:

  • 0001    Standard IVW hierarchy (SAP version)

CH01    Standard WEMF hierarchy (SAP version)
ZZ01    Publisher's own IVW hierarchy for audit reports
ZZ02    Publisher's own IVW hierarchy for internal statistics

  • Hierarchy version

You can record as many different hierarchy trees (versions) as you wish under the key of a hierarchy version. A hierarchy version is necessary, for example, if the requirements of the hierarchy tree change.

This means that several hierarchy trees can belong to one semantic usage (hierarchy type) according to the hierarchy version.

If changes are made to the regulations for the audit report (by the IVW or WEMF), you can create a new version for a hierarchy type with a hierarchy (see below) for a hierarchy type.

Example of customer hierarchy versions (hierarchy type and hierarchy version):

  • 0001    000001    Standard hierarchy 1.1.1997-31.12.1999

0001    000002    Standard hierarchy 1.1.2000-31.12.9999
ZZ01    000001    Customer hierarchy 1.1.1995-31.12.9999

  • Audit report hierarchy

This is a tree that controls totaling in a variety of statistics (evaluations). You can specify the hierarchy type and version on the selection screens for these statistics.

You can define a hierarchy tree in this step for each hierarchy type and version by assigning audit report categories at higher or lower levels. You can only use categories that belong to a report type that corresponds to the hierarchy type.

The standard system contains a hierarchy for hierarchy type '0001', version '000001'.
