In this step you define content component hierarchy versions.

Content component hierarchy versions distinguish content component hierarchy variants of the same hierarchy type.

If you have created several structural content component hierarchies for a daily newspaper because sections are to be renamed and additional columns are to be created, you can use the hierarchy version to distinguish the current structural hierarchy that is valid from the one that is to be valid in the future.

Content component hierarchy versions can be unique or repeated, active or inactive.

Each content component hierarchy version has a validity period.

Activities

You define content component hierarchy versions for each hierarchy type and hierarchy variant.

  1. Check which content component hierarchy versions you require.
  2. Create these hierarchy versions as follows:
    1. Enter an alphanumeric key of up to six characters to describe the hierarchy version.
    2. Enter a validity period.
    3. Select the active indicator as required.
    4. Select the Rept.use of CC indicator as required.
