In this step you define content component hierarchy variants.

Content component hierarchy variants distinguish content component hierarchies of the same hierarchy type.

If you have created several structural content component hierarchies, you can use a content component hierarchy variant to distinguish the structural content component hierarchy in a daily newspaper from the structural content component hierarchy in a political magazine.

Activities

You create content component hierarchy variants for each content component hierarchy type.

The structural, price and statistics content component hierarchy hierarchy types exist in the system.

  1. Check which content component hierarchy variants you require for each hierarchy type.
  2. To create the hierarchy variants required, proceed as follows:
    1. Enter the hierarchy type.
    2. Enter an alphanumeric key of up to six characters to describe the content component hierarchy variant.
    3. Enter a short and long text.
    4. The system offers you the short text for selection in the possible entries function (F4).
