In this step you define the access sequences and account determination types for automatic expense account determnination.

The access sequence allows you to determine:

  • Which condition tables the SAP System should use to access condition rates.
  • In which order condition tables should be read
  • With which field contents the condition rates should be read.

You determine the controlling data access sequence and validity period in the account determination type.

Standard settings

  • Five access sequences are defined in the SAP standard system: The following are examples of these access sequences:
    • Chart of accounts/Purchasing organization/Account key
    • Chart of accounts/Purchasing org./sales agent contract account grp/account key
  • An account determination type with the key "AKOF" is included in the SAP standard system.

These entries allow you to run automatic account determination by the SAP System.

Activities

  1. Establish the extent to which you are able to use the access sequences and account determination types provided in the standard system.
  2. Define your access sequences. To do so, you should choose the relevant criteria for a new access sequence.
  3. Define your account determination types.
