In this step you will define the rules for copying condition records.
The copying functions allow data from an existing condition record to be copied into several new condition records which reduces maintenance.
The existing condition record contains a condition type and a condition table which are marked in the copying rule as the source condition type and the source condition table. You make possible assignments of source condition type and source condition table to target condition tables and target condition types in the copying rules.
Activities
- You should check first whether the copying rules supplied in the standard version are sufficient for you.
- If you wish to define new rules, the following requirements apply:
- If the condition tables differ for the source and target condition rates then,
- condition tables can only differ in one field,
- the condition tables must contain the same number of fields.
- If the target and source condition rates have different condition types, the conditon types should have the same calculation rule, reference size, condition class and +/- rule.
- You can define a new copying rule by assigning admissible source and target condition tables to each other.
Several target condition tables can be assigned to a source condition table. You should mark one of these as the automatic proposal. You should also decide whether the validity date of the source rate is to be suggested in the target rates. You should also assign a suitable selection report which allows you to generate a large number of condition rates according to particular selection criteria.
- Define the admissible source and target condition types. The system uses this assignment to check whether the condition types selected can be copied.
Note
You can define your own selection reports, in order to use your own selection parameters. You can use the IS-M/AM standard report RJHFCC01 as a copying template. The program areas that you should change are marked in this report. The name of the report should begin with "Z". It should also be assigned to the program class VKON which is used to select selection reports offered for copying conditions.
