In this step, you define the valid internal and/or external number range interval for each number range.
You can find out whether only internal or also external number range intervals are allowed for a number range object from the description of the number range in question in this Implementation Guide (tip: try using the search function).
Column NI
Specify the internal number range interval to be used for the number range.
Column NE
Specify the external number range interval to be used.
Example
The number range for drop-offs should only contain internal number range intervals. The existing internal interval has the key '01'. You enter this key in column NI for the number range Drop-offs.
Requirements
The number range intervals should be defined for the relevant number ranges for each number range object.
Standard settings
The standard usage of number ranges is based on the presettings for the number range objects.
Activities
- Please refer to the documentation on the number range to determine whether it can only contain internal or also external number range intervals.
- Call up number range maintenance and specify which internal, and if applicable external, number range interval is to be used.
Note the key of the internal (and external, if applicable) number interval.
- Enter the key(s) in the appropriate column for the number range.
