In this step, you define the industry codes that can be assigned to a customer.
The industry code is specified as part of the marketing data in the general data of the customer master record. This means that the industry code is valid for all sales areas.
You can display a customer's industry code when processing a sales activity. This is done by accessing the customer master data as additional information in the sales activity.
Activities
- Specify an alphanumeric code of up to 10 characters and a text for the industry codes.
- Make sure that the industry codes are entered in the customer master records.
