You assign editions with the same publication dates to a generation grouping. This enables you to maintain one generation rule for all editions in this generation grouping.

You can use the grouping key you assign in this step to assign the editions to the appropriate generation grouping.

  1. Check which generation groupings your company needs.
  2. Modify the texts for the existing generation groupings to meet your requirements.
  3. To create a generation grouping, enter an alphanumeric key of up to 6 characters and specify a short and long text.
