In this step, you define the number intervals for the number range for a change number.
In change management, changes to geographical structures and distribution master data that are logically linked are grouped under one change number. The fact that changes are checked and released together ensures that the data in the system is consistent.
You can only define one internal number range for the change number. When you create a change number, the system assigns a sequence number from the predefined number range.
Transport
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
Standard settings
The standard SAP system contains the internal number range interval "000000001 to 99999999".
Recommendation
You are advised not to change this presetting.
