In this step, you maintain the formatting types for use in transferring business partner names (customers) to the R/2 RF module.

Every formatting type is created under a key. The key is assigned a function module that controls name formatting for the print preview. You then specify the desired key when determining the formatting.

Standard settings

The standard SAP system contains two function modules for transferring addresses to the R/2 RF module.

Function module    Used for formatting

01    Names of sole proprietors

02    Names of legal persons

Activities

To create a formatting type for name formatting for the transfer to RF in R/2, please proceed as follows:

  1. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 2 characters.
  2. Specify the function module for the appropriate name formatting.
