In this step, you perform business partner migration using the migration tool.
The migration tool groups the steps necessary for business partner migration.
The principal steps in migration are the following:
- Initialization of Customizing settings for the SAP business partner
- Setup of SAP business partner Customizing from the existing IS-M Customizing settings
- Definition of settings for business partner control for migration
- Migration of data
- Definition of settings for business partner control after migration
For details on the individual steps, see the corresponding activities in this section.
Recommendation
If the business partners are migrated in parallel processing in several blocks, the migration tool cannot determine precisely whether or not all the master records were migrated successfully. The status in the migration tool depends on the migration run last completed. For this reason, you must ensure manually that all the business partners have been migrated successfully. Do this using the migration overview.
