In this step, you assign IS-M account groups to the groupings in the SAP Business Partner. You must use the same number range intervals for a grouping and the assigned account group.
The business partner in IS-M and the SAP business partner have the same number. The number of the business partner is determined by the grouping in the SAP Business Partner. In internal number assignment, the system uses the number range interval for the grouping. The number range interval in IS-M assigned to the account group is not updated. However, if you are using internal number assignment for the IS-M number range interval, internal number assignment must be specified.
Further notes
In addition to the assignment of groupings to IS-M account groups defined in this step, you must also assign the groupings to the account groups in the customer and vendor master records. You make these assignments in the step Assign Account Groups to Groupings.
