In this step, you maintain the possible transfer types for goods transfer between ship-to parties in Media Product Sales and Distribution.

When you enter a goods transfer, you specify the appropriate transfer type. The goods transfer function allows you to record transfer deliveries that take place between ship-to parties. The system uses the goods transfer data recorded to generate returns (for the sender of the transfer delivery) and a subsequent delivery (for the recipient of the transfer delivery).

Example

A wholesaler's Northern branch delivers 500 copies to its Southern branch and reports the transfer delivery to your media company. The relevant data is recorded as a goods transfer belonging to the transfer type Branch transfer.

Activities

  1. Enter the two-character key of the transfer type.
  2. Enter the text.
  3. Enter the following sales document types:
    1. Sales document type for returns
    2. Sales document type for subsequent delivery
