Use
In this step, you define the possible service profiles (allowed service functions) for users of the Service Cockpit and assign them to the individual users. Users can only execute the functions specified in their profile.
Activities
You can use the following functions to edit a service profile definition:
- Create: Enter the name of the new service profile and choose Create. Assign the appropriate service transactions (such as returns and summarized returns) to the service profile.
- Change: Choose the name of the service profile and choose Change. You can change the assignment of service functions by deleting assignments you no longer require and adding new ones if necessary.
- Delete: Choose the name of the service profile and choose Delete.
Assignment to users
To assign a service profile to a user, enter the user and the profile in a row under Assignment to Users.
Default profile
You can mark a service profile as the default profile. The system takes account of the default profile for all users that are not assigned their own service profile.
Example
Example 1
The service operation Goods Transfer is not used in your company.
This means the profiles used do not contain a goods transfer. The service operation Goods Transfer is not offered for selection in the Service Cockpit.
Example 2
Your service employees are divided into groups according to the tasks they perform. One group is responsible solely for entering returns and goods transfers and another for correcting requests entered incorrectly.
You create two service profiles to reflect this structure. The first profile (Data Entry) is assigned the operations for entering returns and goods transfers. You assign all the employees in the first group this profile. The second service profile (Correction) is only assigned the correction functions. You assign all the employees in the second group this profile.
Example 3
Returns are often entered by temporary employees who are only with the company for a short time. The area manager is responsible for correcting returns.
The service profile Returns Recording is offered as the default profile. This means this service profile is used for all users in the Service Cockpit who are not assigned a service profile. Temporary employees therefore only have access to the data entry function for returns, but the area manager can use all the functions because he is assigned a different service profile.
