In this step, you maintain the control parameters for purchase quantity planning in Media Product Sales and Distribution.

You can define for each sales document type and item category that the purchase quantity is to be determined externally and fixed as the target quantity for purchase quantity planning.

Example

Subscription purchase quantities from Periodical Sales and Distribution are determined as target quantities for distribution centers. These target quantities are fixed requirements for the corresponding orders in Media Product Sales and Distribution and are therefore not changeable.

Activities

  1. Enter the sales document type and the item category for which the target quantity is determined externally.
  2. Select the indicator PE (purchase quantity determined externally).

    If the indicator is selected, the target quantity cannot be changed in purchase quantity planning.
