In this step, you define the customer pricing procedures and product procedures and make the settings required for determining the monitoring procedure.

In order to be able to determine a monitoring procedure in the order, you must link the procedure with the following data:

  • Sales area (sales organization, distribution channel, division)
  • Product procedure
  • Customer pricing procedure
  • Billing frequency

You can specify an initial monitoring procedure to determine that the first monitoring procedure processed when a subscription is created is to differ from the normal monitoring procedure. This means that for example a smaller number of offset days is taken into account for the first renewal offer than for a subscription renewal. Instead of the renewal offer, you can have the System generate other output such as for example an initial letter to the customer.

Activities

  1. Enter the customer pricing procedures and their texts or check the pricing procedures created during customizing for the business partner who is a customer (Media Sales and Distribution) (see Maintain customer pricing procedures).
  2. Enter the product procedures and their texts or check the product procedures created during customizing for the product (publication) (see Maintain product procedures).
  3. Define monitoring procedure determination. To do this, enter the combination of sales area, customer pricing procedure, product procedure and billing frequency, a monitoring procedure and the corresponding initial monitoring procedure.
