In this step, you define the combinations of fixed order values required in the variants of the Internet application Subscription Sales. You then assign one of these combinations to a concrete variant in the step 'Definition of Variants of IAC Subscription Sales'.
Fixed order values means that the values cannot and should not be changed while the program is running or from an external source. The values are thus passed on as they are to the order. These are values that the customer cannot be expected to enter on the Web form, such as the sales area.
Example
You want to use a number of variants of the Internet application for publications from various sales areas. You also want to record different 'forms' of subscription, such as a gift subscription or subscription canvassing. To do this, you must define the required combinations of sales area and sales source in this step. Please specify values that remain the same in each combination (e.g. currency) in each record.
Activities
Maintain the required combinations under a key of your choice. You assign this key to the concrete variants of the IAC at a later point, thus determining the fixed order values for these variants. Please specify the following for each combination or record (you can leave fields blank if you do not require them in a particular combination):
- Maintain the sales area in which the business partners and sales documents are to be created.
- Maintain the sales document type, the sales office, the sales group, the exchange rate type and the currency key. This data is used as header data when the order is created.
- Specify the item type that is to be used to create the item in the order. You can also select the Automatic Transformation to Chargeable indicator for free or trial items, so that a subscription with automatic transformation to chargeable is created. Please note that the free or trial item must be limited if you specify this setting.
- Maintain a sales source and a sales promotion if applicable. This defines how this particular variant of Subscription Sales behaves with regard to introductions and gifts.
- Specify the customer group, the price group and the rate code if this data is required in this variant.
- Determine the delivery end reason if you want to use this combination together with a limited subscription.
