In this step, you define the valid accounting method for each company code. The accounting method determines the type of revenue accrual that takes place. The following accounting methods are possible in subscription sales and distribution:

• German accounting method

  Revenue accrual takes place based on billing document creation.
  Example: unlimited subscriptions

• Anglo-American accounting method

  Revenue accrual takes place on the basis of the service performed, i.e. based on deliveries.
  Example: renewal subscriptions

You can use one accounting method only for each company code.
