In this activity, you maintain the profile for the ad spec editor component (ISMAM_EDITOR). This component can be used in the following areas of the Customer Interaction Center:

  • On a tab page in the Navigation Area
  • In a separate window (dialog box)
    • In a docking control (resize-enabled)

Assign a name and explanatory short and long text to the component profile.

You can specify a URL that is used to access the editor for each component profile. This URL can consist of several sections that are linked by the number of the section of the URL in the ad spec editor.

If you are using the editor in docking control, you can specify the size to be used to display docking control. This size is specified in pixels. Docking control can be displayed in the narrow, medium and full screen sizes using function keys. If no default pixel sixes have been defined in Customizing, the system uses the default size here.

The Transfer Size to Editor indicator defines whether information about a change in size for the editor, such as from narrow to full screen, is transferred to the editor.

If the ad spec editor component is to be accessed on a tab page in the im navigation area, you should assign the ISMAM_EDITOR component to the navigation area with the component profile you have maintained here. You do so in the Maintain Standard Settings for Navigation and Application Areas activity.

If the ad spec editor component is to be accessed in docking control, you should assign the ISMAM_EDITOR component to the invisible components in the framework.

Requirements To activate the editor, you must also execute the following Customizing activities:

  • Define the technical system for ad design in the CIC in the Assign Ad Entry System activity.
  • Assign a destination to this technical system in the Assign RFC Destination activity.
  • Select the Ad spec editor active in the CIC indicator in the Make Settings for Ad Item Entry Component activity if the editor is to be accessed in the navigation area.
  • Assign the profile that has been maintained for the ad spec editor component here to the ISMAM_EDITOR_DOCKING profile type in the Maintain CIC Profile activity.
