Use
In this step, you define the possible distribution chain-specific material statuses for media issues.
The distribution chain-specific material status restricts the use of a media issue to a particular distribution chain (combination of sales organization and distribution channel) or allows its use in all distribution chains. In other words, the status determines whether or not the system displays a warning or an error message when the media issue is used in a certain function.
In Media Product Sales and Distribution, you can determine the locking behavior of the system (warning or error) in the definition of the distribution chain-specific material status for the following functions:
- Quantity planning
- Order generation
- Returns recording
- Insert planning
You can edit status assignments for media issues using the following functions:
- Individual processing of a media issue master record
- Processing a worklist of media issues (transaction JKSD13)
- Background maintenance of media issue statuses
Activities
To define a distribution chain-specific material status, please proceed as follows:
- Enter a two-character alphanumeric key for the distribution chain-specific material status
- Enter the appropriate text (for example, in development, discontinued part)
- Specify whether the system is to display a warning or an error message for the functions to be locked.
