In this step you can define partner roles for the contract overlap check.
Before saving a contract or if you choose Check, the system checks whether the contract overlaps with other contracts that have the same holder. Contract overlap occurs when a billing dataset can be assigned to both contracts as a result of the elements contained in the inclusive requirements. (Exclusive requirements are not taken into account during this check.)
Example
- An advertiser has two contracts with overlapping validity periods for the same booking unit.
- An advertiser holds one contract for a particular booking unit and another contract to which all 4C ads are to be assigned.
Standard settings
The system only checks overlaps for contracts with the same holder according to the settings supplied with the standard system. However, the flexibility of the partner access sequence means that an order could be assigned to both a contract where the advertiser is the contract holder and one where the advertiser is a beneficiary.
Therefore, contracts to which a media customer is assigned in various roles from the partner determination procedure can also overlap.
Activities
Enter all role pairs for each partner determination procedure that are to be checked for overlap if a contract uses this partner determination procedure.
Example
To check for overlaps between the holder and the beneficiary, you should make the following entry for this role pair:
Role Role
Contract holder Beneficiary or alternately
Beneficary Contract holder
Further notes
The role pairs for partner determination procedure MX00 are used for the overlap check for involved contracts even if the involved contracts use different partner procedures.
If you do not enter a role pair for MX00, no overlap check is performed when a media-mix contract is saved.
You can also use a function exit to influence the overlap check.
