In this activity, you can define your own data environments for the CIC navigation area. Use of these data environments is restricted to the navigation area in the L-shape CIC framework.
You can maintain profiles as follows:
- Select the structure to be used for the data environment.
Predefined structures are available to you.
- Choose the object types to be displayed.
- Define additional seelction parameters, such as the maximum number or maximum ages of the objects to be selected (such as customer contacts) for each object type.
- Maintain the presentation settings that define which attributes are to be displayed for an object type.
SAP provides sample presentations that you can use or change for most object types.
Maintenance of the action profile that is linked to your data environment is accessed from the initial screen for the activity using the Maintain action profile button. You define which transactions can be accessed during the runtime by double clicking or using the context menu for an object type in the data environment. The maintenance interface for the action profile corresponds to the maintenance interface for creating an action box configuration.
Action groups are generated in your action profile automatically and correspond to the object types displayed in the data environment assigned. The following objects are available for the data flow to be defined:
- <*NODEOBJECT*>: Object selected during the runtime
- <*ROOTOBJECT*>: Current business partner during runtime
Standard settings
SAP provides a number of example profiles that you can use or copy.
Activities
Copy and maintain your own profile in customer name space X*, Y* and Z*.
Further notes
Include your data environment in the NAV_AREA or APPL_AREA component by assigning the NAV_VIEW component and your data environment profile under Maintain Standard Settings for Navigation and Application Areas.
