In this step you will create the process instruction categories required for the IS-HT-MES Results Recording Call to PP-PI function.

You will:

  • Create the following process instruction categories:
    • MESRED11
    • MESRED00
    • MESSPC01
  • Extend the list of characteristics assigned to each process instruction category.
  • Assign MES resources, control keys, and process instruction categories to the master recipes (outside of the IMG).

Example

Requirements

Process instruction categories AREAD1, AREAD2, and QMJMP_PH must be defined.

Standard settings

Copy as follows:

  • AREAD1 to MESRED11
  • AREAD2 to MESRED00
  • QMJMP_PH to MESSP01

Recommendation

Activities

To create the process instructions categories:

  1. Copy the existing process instruction categories to the new process instruction categories.
  2. Extend the list of characteristics for each new process instruction category.
  3. Save.
  4. Go to transaction C202 to assign MES resources, control keys, and process instruction categories to the Master Recipe.
