In this step you maintain goods movement types which create both credit and debit postings to ensure the postings are displayed correctly in the Batch Genealogy report.
Goods movement type 541 (GI whse to sub. stock) is automatically maintained in the SAPHT/MEST9LG table.
Example
Subcontract purchase orders may have both a goods issue and goods receipt posting. Maintaining goods movement type 541 ensures the goods issue posting is displayed as going to the puchase order, and the goods receipt posting is displayed as coming from the purchase order.
Requirements
The goods movement type(s) must be defined.
