In this step you define how batch classification is executed for specific movement types. If classification is not defined for a movement type, then batch inheritance will not be enabled.

The movement types involved are:

  • 101 - GR goods receipt
  • 262 - RE for order
  • 305 - TF pl. in. stor. in pl.
  • 309 - TF tfr.ps.mat.to mat
  • 311 - TF tfr. within plant
  • 501 - Receipt w/o PO

Example

Requirements

Movement types 101, 262, 305, 309, 311, and 501 must be defined.

Standard settings

Use the following processing types:

  • For movement types 101 and 305 - select 3 - Classification always in foreground (all batches)
  • For movement types 262, 309, 311, and 501 select 4 - Classification in foreground only for new batches

Recommendation

Activities

For each of the above movement types you will:

  1. Select the movement type.
  2. In the CB field, enter the processing type.
  3. Save.
