Use
In this Customizing step, you can register existing archiving objects as part of the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) content. If you register an archiving object, the ILM Retention Warehouse recognizes the data of the archiving object as part of the solution and provides additional functions for loading the data to the Retention Warehouse for further analysis on demand.
Requirements
Standard settings
SAP provides the most important archiving objects and ensures that they fit into the ILM Retention Warehouse solution. Even if the delivered archiving objects are not relevant for your scenario you should not change the delivered entries.
If the archiving objects are not relevant, usually this means you do not have any archived data.
Activities
If you have implemented customer-specific archiving objects or SAP provides additional archiving objects by means of SAP Notes, you can add new entries in this step. For your own archiving objects, you have to check that the archiving objects fit into the ILM Retention Warehouse solution. This can be done by testing the whole scenario, from archiving data through loading and analyzing the data in the Retention Warehouse.
