Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Plant Maintenance (PM) component.
You can use this BAdI to change Customizing settings for Basic Maintenance Processing.
SAP provides default Customizing settings by means of a default implementation. If you want to use these default settings, then you need to ensure that the Customizing for these settings actually exists in your system.
The following have to be set up so that you can create notifications:
- Order type
- Notification type
- Equipment category
- Plant
- Work center
- Internal and external control key
- Partner determination procedure
The partner determination schema must be assigned to the entered order type, notification type, and equipment category.
- Partner Functions
You also have to assign partner functions to the roles Person Responsible, Processor, Internal Service Provider and External Service Provider. In turn, these partner functions have to be assigned to the partner determination procedure. Partner functions must belong to these categories:
Partner Function Role Category
Person responsible User
Internal service provider Personnel number
External service provider Vendor
The following data is also required if an external service provider is used:
- Purchasing organization
- Purchasing group
- Material group
- Operation quantity
- Unit of measure for operation
- Movement type
This entry is required if you want the goods movement for the purchase order to be automatic.
You are also required to enter a settlement rule. The settlement rule can be adjusted during the process, when the order is created, using the SETTLEMENT_RULE_FILL method.
