Use
In this IMG activity you make the system settings that you require if you want to assign SAPscript texts of any chosen length and documents from the SAP component Document Management (CA-DMS) to a work area or an entry in the incident/accident log as an additional source of information.
If you have assigned user-defined texts or DMS documents in work area management or incident/accident management, you can display them in the relevant dialog box by double-clicking. The prerequisite for this is that the application required for the respective document is installed locally.
If you wish, you can control the use of the function by means of authorizations. To integrate an authorization check, you must make the appropriate settings for the authorization object C_EHSI_DOC and activate the check in another step. You must also extend the authorization profiles of the users accordingly. For more information on assigning authorizations, see Specify Authorizations.
Requirements
Make sure that the document types you require from the DMS have been created in Customizing for Document Management under Define Document Types.
Standard settings
Default settings are delivered.
Activities
- Specify which user-defined text types you require and create them in the User-Defined Text Type processing step.
Note:
- The processing step is also used in the Basic Data and Tools component. You should therefore agree your settings with the persons responsible for Basic Data and Tools Customizing.
- The Maximum Number of User-Defined Texts per Value Assignment field and the User-Defined Text Type is Characteristic-Dependent indicator are not relevant for Industrial Hygiene and Safety and must not therefore be edited.
- If you want to activate the setting that documents from the DMS can be assigned to a user-defined text type, you must set the Document Assignment to User-Defined Text Type indicator.
- Go to the Object Type processing step and assign each user-defined text type to the work area or incident/accident log entry object type.
Note:
- You must make the assignment for each user-defined text type you require.
- You can assign only the object types work area and incident/accident log entry. All other object types are not processed in Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
