Integration in the SAP component Time Management (PT) allows you to access working time data and absences for persons affected when processing accidents and to output the data on reports (for example, accident notifications). In the case of absences you can also create data records in Time Management.

As Time Management manages time data for employees only, integration applies for internal persons only and not for external persons affected.

To be able to make full use of integration, note the following points:

Check Time Management Customizing

In Customizing for Time Management, the link between person and absence is established based on the relationship between personnel subarea and absence type. To make this link, the following steps are required:

  1. Group together personnel subareas for which the same absence types are to be valid (personnel subarea grouping)
  2. Assign absence types to the personnel subarea groupings

    The relationship between personnel subarea groupings and absence types is time-related. The validity period is limited by the start and end date of the relationship.

In Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety, the absence types from Time Management are then related to the accident categories in incident/accident management (see Assign Accident Categories to Absence Types).

Check the following settings in Customizing for Personnel Time Management in the Absence Catalog section:

Check Authorizations

Check whether the users with edit authorization for the incident/accident log in your authorization profile have the required authorizations from Human Resources. If the users need, for example, to be able to change and create absences, you must set the appropriate authorization for the infotype absences (see Check Authorizations for Person-Related Data).
