Use

In this IMG activity you make the settings required for the use of measurement management for the measuring device types and measurement methods.

Activities

  1. Specify Measuring Device Types

    Enter the device types and the flow quantities.

  2. Specify Measurement Methods

    Enter the measurement methods and their detail data:

    • Measurement Method Key
      • When you assign the key, note the "Requirements" section in the Business Add-In (BAdI) Transfer of Measured Values to Amounts.
    • Planned Duration
      • The system displays the value as a proposed value after the measurements have been generated.
    • Analysis Lab.
      • The Analysis Lab is implemented as an SAP business partner. The system displays the value after the measurements have been generated.
    • Costs
      • The system requires this information to calculate the analysis costs.
    • Short-Term Sample
      • You use this indicator to specify whether the measurement method is suitable for a short-term sample. The system displays the value as a proposed value after the measurements have been generated.
  3. Assign Measuring Device Types

    Assign device types to the measurement methods.

  4. Optional: Assign Locations

    You can assign locations to the measurement methods. This means the users can only choose measurement methods that are assigned to their locations. This ensures that the required measuring device types are available.
