In Industrial Hygiene and Safety, a series of input fields is specially programmed for value assignment by phrases. This means that the fields are not assigned values by manual entry but by the assignment of a predefined text (phrase) from a phrase set.
For phrases to be available for value assignment, you must first create phrase sets with the required phrases. To do this, you do not need to make settings in Customizing; you create your data in the application, that is, in phrase management in the Basic Data and Tools (EHS-BD) component.

Recommendation
SAP recommends that you create phrase sets with their phrases when you set up the system. This provides the user with a basic set of possible value assignments. The user can then build on them, extending or deleting phrases, or creating new phrase sets to fulfill current requirements.
To view all input fields that can have values assigned by phrases, call the Basic Data and Tools component and choose Phrases -> Edit Phrase Set-to-Attribute Assignments. In the tree that appears, you can see the input fields under the Tables/structure fields node.
