In this IMG activity, you specify which number range intervals you use when you assign accident notification numbers.
Standard settings
The standard system contains the number range object accident notif. key (CBIHN_PRID). The authorization is checked in the authorization object S_NUMBER (number range maintenance).
Activities
- Create internal and external number range intervals according to the following mandatory rules:
- Number range number 0I for internal number assignment by the SAP system
- Number range number 0E for external number assignment by the user or an external system
- Enter the relevant intervals.
Further notes
Deactivate internal key assignment
You can use the environment parameter IAL_FLG_DRAW_IPREPID in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools to control the internal key assignment.
In the default setting, the internal key assignment is active: the environment parameter has the value X, which means that a key is assigned automatically from the internal number range interval when a data record is saved if the user had not assigned an accident notification number.
To deactivate internal number assignment, delete the default value (X) of the environment parameter and leave the value field blank. If the user does not assign an accident notification number, no key is assigned when the data record is saved. This is useful, for example, if you want to leave the number blank so that it can be entered by the workers' compensation association.
Check and format internally assigned keys
You can use the user exit category IPR_SCATCH with the user exit name IAPRID (check accident notification number) for checking and formatting the internally assigned keys. For more information, see Manage User Exits in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Basic Data and Tools.
Notes on Transport
You can transport number range objects as follows:
In the EHS: Number Range Object for Accident Notification Key screen, choose Interval -> Transport.
Note that in the target system, all intervals of the selected number range object are deleted first, so that only the exported intervals are available after the import. The number range statuses are imported with the value they have at the time of export.
