Use

This document describes which activities you must perform if your company wants to record and report work-related injuries and illnesses in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).

Activities

  • Import report templates

    Import the following report templates into your system:

    • OSHA 300: Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses
    • OSHA 300A: Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses
    • OSHA 301: Injury and Illness Incident Report

  • REHS_IAREP_DATA_DETERMINE

    You can have the system determine the key figures Average Number of Employees and Total Number of Working Hours in the observed time frame using the report program REHS_IAREP_DATA_DETERMINE. The determined data is buffered in a table and read for the OSHA 300A report during report generation.

  • Classify phrases for illnesses and assign them to the phrase set for injuries/illnesses

    Classify each phrase that relates to an illness with the help of a phrase code. The system requires the phrase code to fill out and total the fields on the OSHA forms 300 and 300A.

    Use the following phrase codes:

Phrase Code    Meaning

SKD    Skin Disorders

RSP    Respiratory Conditions

POI    Poisoning

HLS    Hearing Loss

WRI    All Other Illnesses

Assign the phrases to the phrase set that you are using for injuries and illnesses (field: INJURY - Type of Injury or Illness).

Caution:

The system interprets phrases that do not have a phrase code or have a different phrase code as injuries.
