In this IMG activity you specify the types of incident/accident log entries.
You can set a consistency check for each entry type using a user exit. This compares the entry type with the number of persons affected and issues a message if it finds inconsistencies. For this purpose, the user exit category IAL_TYPCHK with the user exit name IAL_TYPE is available. For more information, see Manage User Exits in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Basic Data and Tools.
The incident/accident log entry type is also part of authorization checks (see Specify Authorizations).

Further notes
Use accident categories rather than the incident/accident log entry type to group events into injuries at work, traffic accidents, and so on.
Activities
- Check the sample entries and create new incident/accident log entry types if required. Assign each type a unique key.
- Assign a user exit name to the entry types if necessary.
