Use

To deindex/index expert profiles, you must schedule report RSTIRIDX as a batch job.

The program enables you to query the (de)indexing requests that have been collected. This ensures that the search indices is up-to-date. The search engine can only analyze the search index and not documents in the SAP R/3 system. You must execute the report so that XML documents are indexed and the search engine can find them using the search index. The search engine can only find expert profiles after the report has been executed for the first time.

We recommend that you schedule this report frequently (every 5 - 10 minutes). After checking system performance, it might be necessary to execute the report more or less often.

Output

Any errors that occur are logged in the application log (see transaction SLG1).
Enter SDOK as the object type.

Activities

  1. Call transaction SA38.
  2. Enter program name RSTIRIDX in the input field and select the Background pushbutton.
  3. If necessary, enter a variant name and select the Schedule pushbutton.
  4. Select a job name and enter an execution date.
  5. Select the Schedule Periodically pushbutton.
  6. In the subsequent dialog box, enter the required period interval and confirm the entries.
