Use

In this IMG activity, you set up a user for the search engine so that it can access the R/3 system. You also activate the service needed to enable read access to documents that are indexed by the search engine.

Note, you must create the user as a service user.

Activities

  1. Call the Set Up User for Search Engine activity.
    1. Enter a user in the User field.
    2. Select the Create pushbutton.
    3. Create a user.
    4. Select the Roles tab page and assign role SAP_HR_PA_XF_SERVICE_USER_DOC to the user.
    5. Save your entries.
  2. Call the Set Up Service for Search Engine activity, and on the intial screen choose default host -> sap -> bc -> content server. Double-click on the line and select the change mode.
  3. On the Service Data tab page, in the Anonymous Log On Data group box, enter the user you created and save your entries.
  4. Activate the Content Server service in the menu, under Service / Virt. Host -> Activate.
