Use

In this process step, you create the connection between the search engine and server.
You create a search server relation and assign it to an existing search engine and the RFC destination you have defined.
You must assign this setting as the default setting to ensure that the system uses the connection that you have created.

Activities

To create the search server relation, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the Create SSR pushbutton.
  2. In the dialog box, enter a key in in the Search Server Relation ID field.
  3. Select the Create SSR pushbutton, and in the dialog box that has just appeared, enter an existing search engine and the RFC destination that you set up in the Create RFC Connection activity. You should also enter a description for the search server relation.
  4. Select the Set SSR as DEFAULT pushbutton. This setting enables you to specify that the search engine you entered should be used.

    Alternatively, you can make this setting Set SSR as DEFAULT in the General Settings IMG activity. Here, you should enter the search server ID that you have created as the server that is to be used.
  5. Save your entries.

The system creates the search server relation and assigns it to the RFC destination.
