Use

In this activity, you define all required expert profile types and their characteristics.
In a further process step, you assign expert profile elements to expert profile types, and specify the order in which they should be displayed in the expert profile.

An expert profile type is composed of any elements and any number of elements or groups. An expert profile type can also be assigned to one or more expert communities. An expert's individual profile is made up of profile types from all communities to which the expert belongs. You can assign expert profile types to expert communities in the Manage Expert Communities activity.

Activities

Perform the activities in the specified order.

  1. Call the Define Expert Profile Types activity.
  2. Define the required expert profile types and enter a name for each one. If necessary, you should process the following checkboxes:

  1. In the Validity Period group box, define the validity period for the expert profile type.
    Enter the required value in one of these fields Number of Days Number of Months, or Number of Years.
  2. In the description field, you can enter any descriptive text.

  1. Call the activity Assign Expert Profile Element to Expert Profile Type. In the dialog box Select Working Area, use input help to select the profile type you want to process.
    • In position 0, store the name of the expert profile group or expert profile element you want.
    • In all other positions, you should store the order you want the names of the required expert profile elements or expert profile element groups to be displayed.

Example

You want to define expert profile type Global Concern. Proceed as follows:

In the activity Define Expert Profile Types, define the entry Global Concern. In the Name field, enter Global Concern. Select individual checkboxes to choose the particular attributes you want to assign to the expert profile type, for example, if you want to display a photo in the expert profile. Determine the validity period for the expert profile type and enter a description if necessary.

Then, call the activity Assign Expert Profile Element to Expert Profile Type and in the dialog box Select Working Area, enter expert profile type Global Concern. From position 0 onwards, assign the defined elements, for example, Name, First Name, Telephone Number, Location/Office in the Element column. In the Groups column, assign expert profile element groups.
